Media
Challenge provides an outstanding experience for groups of primary
and secondary pupils Yr6 and Yr9 to participate in a stimulating
emergency exercise. Followed by teams of pupils reporting back
and producing front pages of newspapers, TV news broadcasts
and Radio news bulletins.

Projects
which use residents in schools, especially Black and Asian artists.

based projects which involve the community and which may include
outside speakers.

to cultural centres and quarters such as China Town in Manchester.

to Museums, galleries and specialist centres such as Beth Shalom,
Holocaust Memorial centre in Nottinghamshire.

Visits
to places of worship such as churches, mosques, synagogues, gurdwaras
etc.

exchanges, encouraging pupils to respect and celebrate cultural
diversity and to develop their own perceptions and skills.

Projects
which link schools which are situated in other communities, both
in the UK and abroad.

Meetings
between pupils and business personnel to share their experience
of work in relation to racial issues.

Local
celebrations and festivals which celebrate cultural diversity.

The
development of teaching and learning resources across all key
stages, which relate to companies with an international workforce
and/or customer base, including Jobs People Do, translated into
appropriate languages.

Visits
from people from the community who are able to inspire career
awareness among pupils.
