Roles of partners:
Training Providers (Strands 2 & 3):
- Initial Assessment
- Individual Learning Plan
- Delivery of NVQ1 and SfL (Level 1 Literacy & Numeracy) or NVQ2 / work placement
- Named Workplace Mentor
- Regular Progress Reviews (with Workplace Mentor present)
- 3 day summer activities (joint event)
- 'What's Next?' event in May 2008 (joint event)
- Claim forms / reports
- Liaison with Support Mentor (from school) to ensure student successfully progresses through qualifications
Schools:
- To provide a Link Teacher for the duration of the project
- To provide a named Support Mentor for students on Strands 2 & 3 to ensure students progress
- To ensure students complete a block work placement through school
- To ensure Strand 1 and Strand 2 students achieve 1 unit of the ASDAN Foundation for Work award (by completing a Staffordshire Partnership Work Experience Diary in full)
Connexions Staffordshire:
- To provide a Lead PA for the duration of the project (Sean Connolly)
- To conduct Initial Assessments and Individual Learning Plans for students on Strand 1
- To conduct half yearly reviews with the above students
- To input data onto ASPIRE database
- To track students destinations
